nyc in the rain
is not fun, ever, ever, EVER. besides the fact that i didn't bring an umbrella here did not help the fact that when i got to school i was literally dripping wet. although that was just my jacket and hat so whatever i can do fine. however subway terminals and the subways in general on rainy days are like wet slippery (for the actual trains) moving units... not exactly fun to stand up to get out at your stop and nearly slide across the whole car.
other than that ordeal nyc is treating me kindly with classes having begun, i see the real lure to being here.
week one
well i've been here for a week and i can say its been the most interesting week of my life thus far. last sunday was the biggest shock ever for me, almost like my equilibrium was totally tilted on its side. but over the past 7 days i've kinda let my inner city kid out and have adjusted to everything and really enjoy it here which was what i was worried about. classes start tomorrow we'll see the 'real' side to everthing here then.
moving day
i'm here in nyc in my dorm which is alright. i think yesterday was the biggest day of my life in a non cheesy way. i like nyc a lot but its a huge adjustment i got to make. dare i say i know ill miss upstate? its only day one i got to give it a chance and once classes start it will be cake.
i got orientation and crap all week so ill be a tad busy...
auf wiedersehn
i leave in 9 hours for nyc. its so weird i'm not like scared or nervous or anything. maybe that's a good sign... maybe not. but at any rate i'm opening a new chapter of my life. so heres to that.
next time i write in here i will be in nyc.
